Marco Martins

Marco Martins is a community-minded professional with more than two decades of experience leading teams, managing complex operations, and working with businesses, residents, and organizations across Toronto and Canada.

Marco brings 14 years of experience in the hospitality industry, where he managed security operations and large-scale event spaces, developing firsthand experience in public safety, crowd management, customer service, and working with diverse communities.

He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto and has 22 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and clinical research industry, managing clinical operations across Canada. His career has required strong leadership, accountability, regulatory oversight, problem-solving, and the ability to manage complex organizations and competing priorities.

In addition, Marco has 19 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate. This has given him a deep understanding of housing, development, small businesses, property ownership, tenants, and the economic challenges facing Toronto communities.

Across his professional career, Marco has consistently focused on responsible management, public safety, economic opportunity, and delivering results. He believes Toronto needs practical leadership that listens to residents, supports local businesses, protects neighbourhoods, and makes responsible decisions with taxpayers’ money.
